Launching vietnam association of business administrators

TheVietnam Association of Business Administrators, on October 22, the first congress of the Vietnam Association of Business Administrators (VACD)  took place in  Hanoi.

The Vietnam Association of Business Administrators, Mr. Han Manh Tien, Director of the Institute for Management Research and Training, Head of the Campaign Committee to establish VACD, was elected as the Association’s President.

Thus, more than 3 months after the Minister of Home Affairs signed Decision No. 745/QD-BNV allowing the establishment of the Vietnam Association of Business Administrators, VACD was officially born. Up to this point, there have been nearly 200 individuals and groups of different professions across the country registered to become members of VACD.

Mr.Han Manh Tien, President of VACD , said that one of the 5 biggest purposes of VACD is to focus on building a system of standards and principles of corporate governance in Vietnam,   so that “step by step building the system of standards as well as the management method has its own nuances of Vietnam”.

The Vietnam Association of Business Administrators in the immediate future, VACD is expected to conduct a study in 2008 on the actual performance and capacity of the board of directors of domestic enterprises, on the role of the board of directors, functional structure, and relationships.

System of the Board of Directors, on the criteria for evaluating the performance of the Board of Directors, the General Director, the Director of the enterprise, summarizing the experiences and arising issues in corporate governance.

The Vietnam Association of Business Administrators, VACD is also  expected to coordinate with international management associations to jointly implement an international certification training program for senior managers.

VACD’s main office is currently located at 38 Ba Trieu, Hanoi. Representative offices of VACD will also be established in HCMC and some other locations.
